Proof reading

Proofreading

The Cambridge online dictionary has the following definitions:

proofread (verb) pruːf.riːd to find and correct mistakes in proofs (= copies of printed text) before the final copies are printed

proofreading (noun) ˈpruːfˌriː.dɪŋn Example: the errors were corrected at the proofreading stage

Proofreading means checking a piece of writing for spelling, grammar, typographical errors and layout. It can be very hard to proofread your own work, as you know what you intended to write. The impartial eyes of a professional proofreader can make a real difference.

We can proofread electronic documents, marking up changes and comments using the tracking facility of computers. We work with Mac or Windows systems, and are familiar with  Word and a number of Freeware systems. We are equally happy to proofread and edit hard copy, marking it up using standard proofreading and editing symbols.

We will proofread documents of any length, at just £9.00 per thousand words. Please call 01487 843311 to talk.
