Here’s what’s happens next when you order your eBook. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
We will immediately begin processing your eBook. This overview explains what you can expect in the upcoming days as we begin work on your title. Please save this information for future reference.Once we have completed the conversion of the books and delivered them to the stores, they can be found on the following websites:
And for Apple, a customer can either buy the book on iTunes or they would need to use the iBooks app on their iPad, iPhone, or iTouch. The books are searchable by author name or by the title of the book.
1. DOCUMENT REVIEW
Our team will review the documents you sent to us for your eBook and cover. If you have supplied an ePub document, we will be testing it to make sure it passes all ePub guidelines.If you have purchased Cover Design services and uploaded all design materials, the Impressions Design Team will get started on your cover design. Please look for your design proof to be emailed to you approximately 2-3 business days from the date of your payment. If you have any questions, please email mailto:info@printandpublish.co.uk .
2. CONVERTING YOUR FILES TO ePUB
If you have submitted a file that is not in ePub format, we will convert it for you. Please expect the conversion process to take approximately 5 to 10 business days.If you have submitted a file that is not one of the standard formats (.doc, .rtf, .html, ePub), additional conversion charges will apply. We will contact you with a quote before starting any work.
3. DELIVERY TO THE STORES
We will deliver your eBook to the retail stores you selected within 48 hours from when we have a final ePub file.Please allow for the following processing times for each store:
Amazon Kindle and iBookstore: Your eBook will be up for sale in 2-4 business days from when we deliver to them.
Barnes & Noble and Sony: Your eBook will be up for sale within 2 weeks from when we deliver to them.
4. PAYMENTS and SALES INFORMATION
Once your eBook is up for sale at the sites you have selected it will take approximately 45 to 60 days from the end of the month for any sales of your eBook to show up in your Impressions account. This varies by store and depends entirely on how quickly stores report their sales to Impressions. For example, Sony sales reporting occurs 45 days after the end of the quarter. When your account has reached the payout amount that you have selected, we will automatically send out a payment to you, via the method that you have selected, on the following Monday. 5. PARTNER PAYOUT RATES
Even though you get to set your recommended retail price, each retail partner pays a different wholesale price, and the rate is subject to change. The payout typically ranges from 50% to 70% of your sale price, and retail stores may have the option to discount from your suggested retail price. Remember Impressions pays you 100% of the net sales revenue it receives from each partner.
6. CHANGES, CORRECTIONS, and UPDATES
If you require a change to the price, description, or cover of your eBook, Impressions can process one change per year at no additional cost. Changes such as typographical or punctuation errors can be made by our staff but do incur charges. Please contact mailto:info@printandpublish.co.uk about any changes.More significant changes to the content of an eBook will require a new submission and ISBN number as it will be considered a second edition. You would need to re-upload your updated eBook to us at this point. Please contact info@printandpublish.co.uk first, so we can help you with this process.
